Football St George (FSG) is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Morris as its new Technical Director, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to elevating coaching standards and strengthening technical support across its clubs.
Andrew brings extensive experience to the role, having held similar technical leadership positions within grassroots associations and multiple NPL clubs as team coach and as club technical director, as well as working with national squads, internationally. Most notably, he has served as Technical Director at Easts FC since 2012, where he has played a pivotal role in designing and delivering the club’s coaching curriculum and club process. Working closely with his teams, Andrew has ensured a consistently high standard of football development on the field.
Andrew holds an FFA A-Licence coaching accreditation and is an accomplished coach educator, delivering both community and advanced diploma courses as well as FA-accredited workshops. His coaching and education credentials extend further through his work with Football Canterbury and Eastern Suburbs Football Association, where he has conducted hundreds of coaching courses, on behalf of FNSW and Football Australia helping to shape the next generation of football teachers/coaches, with his diverse experience reflecting his deep commitment to grassroots football development.
In his new position with FSG, Andrew’s primary focus will be on club-facing initiatives, with an emphasis on coach development and resource support. Working part-time, he will collaborate with Frank Mrvcic, who continues his important role within the football department, ensuring FSG clubs benefit from broader access to technical expertise.
