Football St George (FSG) has appointed Jim Apostolovski to the Board of FSG to fill a casual vacancy. His appointment brings a wealth of financial management experience to the Board, which addresses an important skillset required in FSG’s overall Board composition.
Jim is an experienced finance professional with expertise in accounting and financial management. In a career spanning over three decades, he has held prominent roles including Treasurer (CFO) at the City of Sydney Council, overseeing financial strategies and governance. His tenure includes service across numerous inner-city councils within Sydney, where he contributed to the financial stability and efficiency of local government operations. Jim currently works in the private sector providing advisory services to local councils and public entities on enterprise systems that support fiscal sustainability and infrastructure planning.
Football St George will also benefit from Jim’s considerable football governance experience. He is a past Chairman, President and Director of APIA Leichardt Tigers, where he led the upgrade of historic Lambert Park, with major funding from State Government.
Jim’s links to Football St George commenced in the 1970s when he played youth football for St George City SC. He continues to play O45s football in Football St George following a career that included playing in the NSW State Leagues.
