Football St George are calling for the football community in the St George Area to promote awareness on domestic violence.

Football St George Chair and Executive Director Irene Hatzipetros is encouraging all Football St George member clubs including any volunteers, players, coaches and family members to support this great initiative by joining Bayside Council and being a part of the proceedings and walk on 25 November 2023.

“Regrettably, domestic violence continues to be a serious and major health, welfare and social issue in Australia that almost always has a devastating and lasting impact on individuals, families and the community. It can affect people of all ages and backgrounds and it is unfortunate to find there is an alarming rise in domestic violence, with no end to the violence in sight.
On behalf of the Football St George Board and Executive and the communities we represent, I commend Bayside Council and support this initiative in relation to the “No Domestic Violence Walk 2023”. We appreciate the great commitment and resolve, Bayside Council and the front-line advocates display and continue to show up to better protect all the women, children and families in our community”.
