Football St George are calling for the football community in the St George Area to promote awareness on domestic violence.

Football St George Chairperson and Executive Director, Irene Hatzipetros is encouraging all Football St George member clubs including any volunteers, players, coaches and family members to support these great initiatives by joining their respective Councils on the day and being a part of the proceedings and walk on 25 November and or 26 November 2022.

“Domestic violence is a major health, welfare and social issue in Australia and can have a lasting impact on individuals, families and the community. It can affect people of all ages and backgrounds and it is unfortunate to find there is an alarming rise in domestic violence, with no end to the violence in sight.

On behalf of the Football St George Board and Executive I commend both Councils and support these initiatives in relation to the “No Domestic Violence Walk 2022”. Without flinching and with fearless resolve, both Bayside Council and Georges River Council councillors and front-line advocates continue to show up for the women, children and families in our community”.

Details for the events are provided below.
