Football St George and Heartbeat of Football have joined forces in 2022 to host a golf day to promote heart health awareness.

All funds raised from the golf day will be used to deliver heart health testing days for clubs in Football St George competitions.

Football St George General Manager Phil Brown said;
“The work Heartbeat of Football do to bring testing days to local clubs and players deserves recognition, and all our support. The testing days provide an accessible and vital means for local footballers to identify heart health risk, and I have no doubt that these days help save lives”.

“We are extremely proud to partner with Heartbeat of Football to deliver the golf day fundraiser and encourage everyone in the game to get on board”.

Heartbeat of Football Founder Andy Paschalidis said;

“The safety and well-being of all footballers and of course those who attend matches is paramount,” Paschalidis said.

“Football St George has been active in promoting heart health awareness having seen first-hand the impact of a cardiac arrest in our local FSG football family.

“It makes all of us proud at Heartbeat of Football that monies raised will go directly into heart health testing days with local clubs also supported by the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and Response for Life.”

Andrew Paschalidis is a Life Member of Sans Souci FC while three fellow Heartbeat of Football Board Members are also associated with Football St George clubs. Angelo Tilocca and Beau Curtis are with Forest Rangers FC while Nick Plataniotis is a registered 045s player with Hurstville City Minotaurs.
