St George Football Association (SGFA) with the support of its member Clubs and referees will launch digitalised match sheets for all competition teams from 2020 season.

The Association is excited that not only are facilities and parks being developed for a better football experience for players, but also extending this to the thousands of volunteer’s administrators who support the running clubs and teams each season.

Moving from a paper-based system to an online platform will provide local clubs and their volunteers with numerous benefits, including (but not limited to):

  • Pre-populated game and player information, reducing time spent on game preparation;
  • Accessible on your smartphone or device, real-time;
  • No ID cards;
  • No requirement for hard copy matchsheets and subsequent handing in to local club or association office;
  • Improved player management records, including suspensions, playing up/borrowing availability;

For 2020 season, iMatchsheets will roll out for all competition age groups (U12 and up) with non-comp age groups to be implemented in 2021.

With any change to processes and systems there is the potential for some teething challenges, particulalry in the first few rounds, however we have planned the following training sessions for nominated clubs delegates (only) to assist in prepration for the season:

  • Monday, 10 February; and
  • Thursday 5 March 2020.

SGFA will have further information and documentation available on its website shortly and Clubs have been encouraged to run their own specific training with RTOs and volunteers prior to the season kicking off in April.
