St George Football Association (SGFA) is being given a welcome boost from McDonald’s restaurants in the St George region, which will see the club benefit from a range of support across local grassroots events and activities as well as club referees and its digital platforms. As part of the arrangement, McDonald’s will also support the men’s and women’s premier league competitions as naming rights partner.

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots sport, McDonald’s is providing equipment to local community groups nationwide, to help encourage an active lifestyle.

Louie Treffiletti and George Stamiris, McDonald’s Licensees in the St George area commented, “We are proud to be partnering with the St George Football Association and providing its member teams with support that helps thousands of St George locals to have an active lifestyle. We hope to see great things from St George FA in the upcoming season!”

Bill Saravinovski, Bayside Council Mayor added, “Its local small and medium businesses who support local sporting organisations, which really keep going and growing. McDonald’s Licensees like Louie and George have partnered with community organisations throughout the St George region for many years now, and I’m pleased to see their support continuing with this new sponsorship of the St George Football Assocation.”

St George Football Association joins hundreds of other clubs throughout Australia that currently benefit from the support of their local McDonald’s restaurant. Each of these clubs develop kids’ sports skills and provide opportunities for them to play.
