It was an exciting occasion for a number of players from SGFA’s St George Warriors and Development (U8s) Programs, who were invited to attend a recent Bayside Council meeting to present a signed football to Mayor Bill Saravinovski.

This was the football used during the official opening of Ador Avenue synthetic pitch at Rockdale in August, where the players participated in a fun game with local councillors and staff.

St George Warriors is a the SGFA’s Football4All Program which is a program that caters for male and female players with development disabilities fro ages 5 and older. The program is an innovative, equal access community initiative which provided a fun, inclusive and social environment for players and their families to participant in  modified team formats..

All players including Adam Grabovac, Jack Pedersen, Matthew Yap and Lexie Tiliacos all addressed the forum before passing the football to the Mayor and Councillors.

Players from both programs were great ambassadors on both match day and on the evening presentation and we thank them all for their efforts.
