St George City Futsal Clubs has signalled its intentions for their inaugural season in the Football NSW Futsal State League, by signing Michael Loupis for the upcoming season.
Snaring the signature of Loupis is a major coup for the fledgling Club, who played with Rockdale City Suns in the PS4 NPL 1 in 2017, and who has previously played with Inner West Magic and Mascot Vipers in the Futsal Premier League.
Loupis is known in Futsal for his lethal left foot and City will be looking to him to lead from the front once the season kicks off on October 7.
SGFA Head of Football, Aytek Genc, was thrilled
“St George City has aspirations to be a major player in Football NSW competitions, not just in the NPL but also Futsal, and to have signed a player of Michaels’ quality for our inaugural season really sends a statement to the rest of the competition of our intentions.
Michael is extremely experienced and talented player having played at the top level in NSW and we look forward to him being a leader within our Club” Genc stated.
Loupis is looking forward the season ahead.
“I am excited to have signed with St George City for the 2017/18 Futsal season. The Club has a strong vision, good people and I look forward to the challenge and to contributing the Club this season”. Loupis said.
St George City play Sutherland Sharks in the season opener at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre in Riverwood on October 7.
